Hanuman Dham, Choi : A Divine Sanctuary of Peace and Power

During our recent visit to Ramnagar, we had the immense fortune of visiting Hanuman Dham in Choi, especially on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. And let me just say it was not just a visit, it was a spiritual experience I’ll carry with me for a long time.

From the moment we entered the temple premises, there was a sense of calm that immediately settled over us. You can feel the divine energy in the air an almost unexplainable sense of comfort and strength. It’s one of those rare places where your heart feels lighter, your mind feels clearer, and your worries seem to disappear.

The temple is immaculately maintained. Every corner is neat, and the entire complex is spacious and clean. It’s clear that the volunteers and staff put in a lot of selfless effort to manage everything from guiding devotees, organizing darshans, distributing prasad, to maintaining the overall serenity. Their service is truly commendable.

Divine Architecture & Unique Experience

The most fascinating part of Hanuman Dham is the series of beautifully sculpted idols of Lord Hanuman, each one depicting a line from the Hanuman Chalisa. I was genuinely amazed at how realistic and expressive each form looked every statue tells a story, every expression speaks to your soul.

The main sanctum where the idol of Shri Hanuman Ji resides is filled with such intense spiritual energy that you can’t help but close your eyes and feel deeply connected. The Aarti and Pooja ceremonies are nothing short of divine. The Mangal Aarti at 6 PM was one of the most soul-stirring experiences I’ve had in a long time.

Along with the main Hanuman temple, there are also mini shrines of Maa Durga and Lord Shiva, adding even more depth to the spiritual journey.

Facilities & Surroundings

  • Ample parking space is available for all types of vehicles, which is a big relief.
  • The approach road is a bit narrow, so traffic jams can happen during peak hours but it’s manageable.
  • Nearby, there are sweet shops, small eateries, and a Prasad counter that serves clean and neatly packed offerings.
  • Washrooms are clean and basic, and there’s even an Amul shop with a good selection of snacks and dairy products.

The temple is situated a little away from the city, and that’s exactly what makes it so special. No traffic noise, no chaos, just peace, positivity, and prayer. Despite being such a gem, it’s surprising that Hanuman Dham isn’t more prominently listed on tourist maps. It truly deserves more attention.

Final Thoughts:

If you’re visiting Jim Corbett or Ramnagar, do not leave without stopping at Hanuman Dham. Whether you’re a devout follower or just someone seeking peace and clarity, this temple has something for everyone. I left the dham with a calm mind, a grateful heart, and a powerful sense of inner strength.

I can’t wait to visit again.
